Basel Convention
The official name is the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal. An international convention that stipulates the permission system and prior notice system for the export of hazardous waste, and the obligation to re-import in case of improper export or disposal.
